1 coffee, 40 minutes, any tools you want. Make it better than anyone else.
This event will be on Friday, September 25th starting at 3 pm, but with timed slots ranging from 3 until 630. If you have time requests, please email matt@lekkocoffee.com after ordering.
We will provide a roasted coffee which you will get to cup when you arrive. Immediately after, the timer starts and you get to begin working on a recipe. Use whatever tools you want to bring or the ones we have in our roastery. Water recipes can be used, but no sugars can be added to the water.
The coffee will be from Juan Medina at The Coffee Five Project, but no other information will be given until you cup the coffee upon arriving. Judges will include Juan and Matt. Winner will receive 25% of the buy in as well as prizes to be announced. Competitors will get notes on their brews from the judges if they want it.
After the competition there will be snacks and drinks - we want this to not only be a competition, but a time for serious coffee professionals to get together and celebrate our industry. All competitors will go home with some sort of prize!
